This is a high-visibility position within a growing data and analytics provider targeting top B2C marketing organizations. The successful candidate will be a strong business development leader with demonstrated skills in developing a holistic view of each client opportunity and executing new business and/or service expansion strategies. Must be a subject matter expert in selling data and capable of defining effective data-driven marketing strategies and developing a compelling business case for test and adoption of proposed solutions. Alliant is seeking a proven industry professional to lead its sales and business development team. This position requires an innovative mind-set and a strong desire to deliver customer satisfaction while leading a high performing sales team. This position reports to Senior Vice President of Revenue.

Principle Responsibilities:

•Identify, develop and lead new business development, overseeing all new business account contact and sales activity

•Hire, grow, and develop a team of high-performance new business executives in support of client cultivation and conversion

•Set sales goals, develop forecasts, maintain standard pipeline, track opportunities, manage the sales fulfillment process and report regularly on team progress to executive management

•Align Alliant audience targeting, campaign optimization and analytic solutions to customer applications; prepare and communicate solution overview, pricing, proposals, and negotiate the terms and conditions of the sale

•Update CRM management information daily and document sales activity, transactions, account, client information and revenue opportunities as required

•Partner with Account Management team to transition new business as well as grow existing accounts in support of corporate growth strategies

•Consistently achieve and exceed assigned sales targets; maximize profitability and new business financial performance by managing costs and customer pricing

•Drive Alliant brand in market through presence and active participation in industry events

•Actively participate in corporate planning, product development and team building activities

•Partner with senior leadership to set new business strategy and organizational structure to maximize the business

•Ensure all phases of the sales lifecycle including targeted prospect/client contacts and engagement opportunities are accurately recorded in Salesforce

•Prepare RFP responses, proposals and other sales-related documents that enable the company to expand its relationships with existing customers

Required Qualifications & Skills:

•10+ years’ proven experience in data sales and/or account management in a data driven marketing or technical/analytic environment, ideally within marketing-services organizations

•Demonstrated mastery of and passion for the art of selling, a love of data and an understanding of how to utilize the power of analytics to support customer goals

•Deep knowledge and hands-on experience as a vendor or end-user within direct, digital and/or database marketing; relevant sales contacts within direct-to-consumer digital and direct marketing organizations a plus

•A proven ability to build, mentor and lead successful sales teams

•Must demonstrate solid listening skills and a consultative sales approach, with proven ability to identify and build relationships with C-Level executives and key decision makers

•Demonstrated ability to develop and expand client relationships and have a proven record of exceeding revenue goals

•Working knowledge of marketing analytics and reading model gains charts a plus

•Experience using a CRM database or similar software applications

•Outstanding writing and presentation skills, with an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

•Position requires external client interaction, must have the ability to accommodate travel to client sites and industry events

•Possess a growth mindset with a team first orientation and committed to having a good time while doing a great job

The base salary range for New York based candidates for this role is $150,000-$175,000 plus commission.
