Alliant is searching for a highly communicative, reliable, and skilled Talent Acquisition Manager to join its active professional office environment. The principle responsibilities will be to implement effective recruiting, onboarding, training, and off boarding strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for technical, sales and business support roles. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Human Resources and is based in Alliant’s Northern Westchester County, NY office.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment, onboarding and new hire training processes
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify required skills and draft detailed and accurate position descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates; maintain contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications
  • Conduct initial screening calls with prospective candidates, communicating the career opportunity, the benefits of working for Alliant and clearly articulating the company mission, vision and values
  • Assist with ongoing training of hiring managers and interview teams on effective interview techniques
  • Oversee position posting and advertisement processes on various recruiting sites; create and maintain a presence in the industry community and marketplace; plan participation in and attend college job fairs and recruiting sessions
  • Assist with booking meetings for candidates and conduct interview recap meetings with the internal interview teams
  • Partner with the hiring manager, human resources, and finance teams during the offer process, identify and recommend salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
  • Request and validate background, credit, education, employment and reference check results for candidates
  • Assist with onboarding new associates by providing and explaining required documentation and ensure all forms are completed, returned, and maintained
  • Partner with appropriate teams to support onboarding planning and first-day procedures
  • Assist in organizing new hire training and career development efforts
  • Manage offboarding procedures with managers and internal teams
  • Assist in Alliant’s goal in maintaining a culture of being a great company where great people want to work
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required
  • 3-5 years’ experience facilitating full cycle hiring process preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
  • Experience using LinkedIn, Indeed and other recruiting sources for large volume recruiting required
  • Experience with using onboarding and offboarding procedures through ADP Workforce Now a plus
  • Must be proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
  • Must have a strong orientation toward providing outstanding customer service
  • Superior organization and documentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be flexible, detailed, team-oriented and committed to having a good time while doing a great job
