Overview:

Alliant is seeking a skilled sales executive with experience in the automotive industry to join the sales team of our rapidly growing marketing services company. This position will build a sales pipeline and manage the smooth on-boarding of new clients while maximizing revenue. The successful candidate will have experience in developing profitable strategic relationships with automotive dealers/dealer groups, automotive marketing agencies, aftermarket retailers, and automotive subscription commerce companies. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Client Engagement and may manage resources related to assigned account(s).

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Identify, define and close opportunities to develop custom audiences for digital and offline targeting as required by key accounts within the automotive industry
  • Use knowledge of direct response and digital marketing techniques to determine optimal solutions for each account situation
  • Develop strong sales pipeline through promotions and cold calls, call on inactive accounts and maintain existing book of business
  • Develop benefit-oriented presentations and proposals required to close new business
  • Build, cultivate and manage strong, long-term client relationships with key contacts and maintain frequent connections
  • Develop revenue forecasts and maintain a sales pipeline
  • Analyze campaign success and provide additional recommendations to clients/prospects
  • Educate clients on trends in audience targeting and optimization to support automotive sales strategies
  • Maintain CRM management system with history of contracts, documents, events, transactions and notes for complete customer and account profiles

Key Skills and Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or related business field preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience selling data, analytics and marketing solutions; proven track record of closing sales and exceeding quota within automotive vertical
  • Top performer in qualifying prospects and the art of selling data-driven marketing solutions; working knowledge of modeling and digital marketing a plus
  • Experience and relevant contacts within automotive marketing organizations, dealers/dealer groups, aftermarket or automotive subscription commerce services
  • Outstanding persuasive communication, writing and presentation skills, with an strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • An analytic mind-set, must have a passion for detail and data-driven marketing innovation
  • Experience using a CRM database or software applications preferred
  • Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Position requires external client interaction. Must have the ability to accommodate travel to client sites and industry events
  • Must be flexible, detailed, team-oriented and committed to having a good time while doing a great job
