The Promotional Marketing Team Leader is a highly-visible management-level position responsible for driving all strategic and tactical marketing and communications decisions. This position reports to the SVP, Corporate Communications.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of all B2B demand generation and brand development strategies in partnership with business unit leaders
  • Define and deliver high impact content and promotions on-time and on-budget — personally providing copy, editing and other creative input as required — secure approvals from stakeholders as needed
  • Review and edit all content developed by the team, internal SMEs and freelance talent; ensure that communications are clear, on target and meet brand standards
  • Create all campaign budgets and objectives; oversee marketing measurement tools and monitor and review KPIs from campaigns, channels and tactics for progress toward goals
  • Develop and publish quarterly marketing plans in partnership with Sales, Account Management and Product teams; report progress and challenges to senior leadership weekly
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize projects; oversee resource allocation and scheduling for all marketing and communications activity
  • Develop and oversee effective project management and reporting practices to ensure on-time delivery for all projects; continuously monitor internal service levels
  • Hire, train and mentor top talent while fostering a culture of curiosity. Develop annual growth plans for all team members and provide timely performance review and feedback.
  • Oversee all internal and external teams responsible for marketing-related activity including but not limited to creative production, deployment, CRM, paid media, events and sponsorships
  • Ensure timely and effective marketing support for ad hoc sales presentations, proposals, corporate reporting and internal events as required
  • Reinforce Alliant values of respect and transparency throughout the working environment

Key Skills and Background:

  • College graduates only, special consideration for candidates with an advanced degree in Marketing or Business
  • Five or more years in a leadership position directing B2B promotional communications in a corporate marketing or agency environment
  • A portfolio establishing expertise in strategy development, execution and deployment of
    multi-channel communications for lead generation, promotion and thought leadership
  • Proven experience in understanding and overseeing prospect engagement and development within complex B2B marketing funnels
  • A clear track record in building, mentoring and leading successful marketing and creative teams
  • Superior writing, editing and presentation development skills
  • Experience in the use and deployment of Google Analytics and other tools for measuring and interpreting multi-channel marketing KPIs
  • A highly service-oriented attitude, driven to provide superior service to stakeholders
  • A working knowledge of direct-to-consumer marketing, digital advertising and data hygiene/enrichment processes
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms or SalesForce CRM a plus
  • A high energy level with a mindset that is goal-oriented and positive; must be highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment
