Overview

The Account Executive is responsible for managing assigned accounts, acting as a consultant able to interpret client organizational goals and marketing plans to identify opportunities in which Alliant services can add value. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of data-driven marketing and be comfortable communicating a value proposition, handling customer questions and leading complex projects through a technical process. This position is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who loves data, marketing and is motivated to deliver customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Director of Client Engagement.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Build exceptional client relationships at all levels of each account
  • Manage and grow revenue from multiple accounts engaged in direct-to-consumer digital and offline marketing strategies
  • Conduct ongoing needs assessments via meetings and calls to manage current projects, assess solution performance, and identify and sell through new business opportunities
  • Interpret statistical model results, draw conclusions and develop marketing proposals and proof-of-concept documents for presentation to clients
  • Manage all account communications including project and product updates, proposal preparation and presentation, negotiation of terms & conditions, and close the final sale
  • Develop integrated and comprehensive account plans & strategies across products and accounts to increase account engagement and net revenue
  • Record all sales activity into CRM management tool and maintain history of transactions and notes for customer profile; report on account revenue trends and provide forecasts as required
  • Keep current with product, industry, and competitive knowledge
  • Collaborate with Alliant’s internal Analytics, Production and Development teams
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or business field, with at least eight (8) years of working within a business-to-business (B2B) sales or marketing organization, or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets, conquesting new accounts, and strategically growing account revenue.
  • Experience managing complex accounts with the ability to research, uncover, manage, and resolve obstacles that slow delivery of positive business solutions
  • Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing tactics across digital and traditional channels; must have thorough experience in creating and analyzing marketing P&L statements
  • Must demonstrate solid listening skills and a consultative sales approach, with an ability to identify and build relationships with key decision makers
  • Should have excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills, with an analytic mind-set, a passion for detail and data-driven marketing innovation
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, attend to detail and generate results in a fast-paced environment
  • Must demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using a database or software applications
  • Must have the ability to travel frequently to client sites and industry events
  • Must be flexible, detailed, team-oriented and committed to having a good time while doing a great job
